95-year-old man dies in Camarines Norte road accident

LEGAZPI CITY – A 95-year-old man died after he was hit by a tricycle in Labo, Camarines Norte on Friday night (August 19).

Police Staff Sergeant Ryan Samonte, traffic investigator of the Labo police, said  Tito Yaneza was crossing the road in front of his house, he was hit by a tricycle driven by Mark Rohden Espina, 34, along Maharlika Highway in Barangay ( Talobatib at around 6:40 p.m.

The victim sustained multiple injuries and was immediately taken to Labo District Hospital where he eventually expired at around 7:20 p.m.

Samonte said Espina was taken into custody and will face a formal complaint for reckless imprudence resulting in homicide.
