MANILA, Philippines — Metro Manila’s No. 1 wanted man has been captured in Navotas City during a buy-bust operation conducted jointly by police and anti-drug operatives.

This was confirmed by National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Director Brig. Gen. Jonnel Estomo, identifying the alleged most wanted criminal as Jaymee Dionisio – supposedly a member of the Legaspi Drug Group.

The NCRPO said Dionisio has outstanding arrest orders for two counts of murder. The warrants for his arrest, the NRCPO added, were issued by Navotas City’s Regional Trial Court Branches 286 and 288.

According to the regional police, Dionisio was arrested during the buy-bust operation carried out by the Navotas City Police Station’s Drug Enforcement Unit, NCRPO, and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) along Judge Roldan Street in Barangay San Roque before dawn Friday.

Aside from Dionisio, another suspect named Roberto Huelba was collared during the drug sting,

The NCRPO said in a statement that various suspected illegal drugs and firearms were confiscated from the two:

It also said operatives confiscated 4.3 kilograms of marijuana with an estimate price of P516,000, as well as 17 grams of crystal meth, locally known as “shabu,” approximately valued at P115,600.

“Our war against illegal drugs is far from over but with the diligence of our operatives, we are gaining grounds on this undertaking. More and more people involved in illegal drugs are being apprehended. I commend our men for a job well done,” Estomo said.
