Parts of Ninoy Aquino Ave. closed from Aug. 19 – 22 for construction of new LRT-1 station

MANILA, Philippines — Portions of Ninoy Aquino Avenue will be closed to traffic from August 19 to August 22, due to the construction of the Ninoy Aquino Station of Light Rail Transit Line 1 (LRT-1), the Department of Transportation (DOTr) announced on Thursday.

According to the DOTr advisory, both southbound and northbound lanes near the Imelda Bridge along Ninoy Aquino Avenue — which links Pasay City and Parañaque City, will be temporarily closed to traffic from 6 p.m. on Friday, August 19, until 5 a.m. on Monday, August 22.

 The DOTr advised affected motorists to take the following alternate routes:

 Northbound:

  1. Right turn to Old Sucat Rd. (Front of SM Sucat ) C5 Extension Rd.  Multinational  Ninoy Aquino Ave. (Duty Free)
  2. Left Turn to Kabihasnan (Victor Medina St.)  Quirino Ave. or Cavitex Coastal Rd.

 Southbound:

  1. Left turn to Multinational C5 Extension Rd.  AMVEL  Ninoy Aquino Ave. (Airforce One/PCP Station 3)

or

Left turn to Multinational C5 Extension Rd.  Old Sucat Rd.

exit (Head Quarters/Brgy. San Dionisio Hall)  U-turn at Palanyag

  1. Quirino Ave.  Kabihasnan (Victor Medina St.)  Ninoy Aquino Ave.
