MANILA, Philippines — Atty. Trixie Cruz-Angeles, President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.’s press secretary, has tested positive for COVID-19.
In a Facebook video, Cruz-Angeles said she was tested on Sunday and got her results on Monday morning. The press secretary said she is currently in isolation.
“Kahapon nagpa-COVID swab test ako, RT-PCR, at lumabas ang resulta kaninang umaga. Ako po ay positive for COVID,” Cruz-Angeles said.
(I had an RT-PCR test yesterday for COVID-19 and the results were released this morning. I tested positive for COVID-19.)
“Kung kaya’t sa bahay muna ako magtatrabaho habang ako ay naka isolation,” she added.
(That is why I will be working from home for now while I am in isolation.)
Cruz-Angeles urged the public to get vaccinated and take their booster shots.
“Kukunin ko na rin po itong pagkakataon na maghikayat na magpabakuna tayong lahat at magpa-booster,” Cruz-Angeles said.
