MANILA, Philippines — Acting Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Chairman Carlo Dimayuga III has tested positive for COVID-19, the agency announced on Monday.
The MMDA said Dimayuga tested positive in a COVID-19 antigen test Sunday, August 14, and will self-isolate for seven days.
“Chairman Carlo Dimayuga tested positive po (antigen), so he will be in isolation for 7 days,” MMDA Public Affairs Director Sharon Gentalian told reporters in a Viber message.
Gentalian said the acting MMDA chief is currently experiencing mild symptoms and is on home isolation.
