The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) has earmarked a P10-million package for 25 schools that the state pension fund will help prepare for the resumption of full in-person classes in partnership with the Department of Education (DepEd) and the Adopt-A-School Program (ASP).

GSIS president and general manager Wick Veloso said the fund has increased its ASP package from P300,000 last year to P400,000 for each of the 25 beneficiary schools. The DepEd program encourages partner agencies from the government and private sectors to address the needs of government schools located in the poorest provinces or low-income municipalities.
