LUCENA CITY—Police arrested 19 alleged drug pushers and seized more than P656,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) in buy-bust operations Wednesday and Thursday in Rizal and Cavite provinces.
The Region 4-A police reported that anti-narcotics agents in Taytay, Rizal collared at 3:10 a.m. on August 11, Joselito King and Nelson Porlaza in Barangay Sta. Ana.
The authorities confiscated nine sachets of meth weighing 44 grams with a Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) value of P299,200 and a motorcycle believed to be used by the suspects in their illegal drugs trade.
At Barangay 40 in Cavite City, anti-illegal drug operatives nabbed at 7:05 p.m. on August 10 Jimel Lucasan, Mick Enrique Mateo, and Rommel Saquilayan.
The trio yielded six sachets of shabu with a DDB value of P170,000.
At H-2 village in Dasmariñas City, the police busted around 10 p.m. Randy Alcaraz, Angelito Namangcayao, Sadam Adin, and Ricky Trinidad.
Seized from them were five sachets of meth worth P69,000 as per DDB valuation.
On Wednesday night, Bacoor City police arrested Antonio Sanchez, E.R John Acojido, Sotero Balais, Janine Elarmo, Angelo Alforte, Jerome Estocado, Joselito Cabarne, Ibnes Miyu, Michelle Talbo, and Armando Balidio in two operations.
The cops recovered P118,000 worth of shabu from the suspects.
All suspects were detained and face charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
