LEGAZPI CITY — A 50-year-old man was shot and killed by three motorcycle-riding gunmen in Balud town in Masbate province on Wednesday afternoon (August 10).
In a report, Police Major Reneir Teofilo, Balud police chief, said while Vicente Borres and his common-law partner were sitting beside their small sari-sari store, the suspects arrived onboard two motorcycles and shot him in Barangay (village) Danao at around 12:30 p.m.
Borres died instantly from multiple gunshot wounds while his partner was unharmed.
The police recovered nine spent shells for caliber 45 and two for caliber 9mm.
Investigation is ongoing to identify the suspects who fled after the incident.
