3 drug suspects nabbed, over P35,000 shabu seized in Camarines Norte

LEGAZPI CITY—Three suspected drug personalities were arrested and more than P35,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) was confiscated in separate buy-bust operations Tuesday, August 9, in Camarines Norte province.

Major Maria Luisa Calubaquib, Bicol police spokesperson, said Alicio Cereno, 51, was arrested at around 3:30 a.m. in Barangay Mercedes in Daet town.

Police confiscated 5.29 grams of shabu worth P35,972 from Cereno.

In Barangay Calangcawan Sur in Vinzons town, Mark Cabanes, 24, and Stephen Ed Riel, 22, were collared at 1:25 a.m.

Police recovered a pouch containing two sachets of shabu from Cabanes, while Riel yielded a sachet of suspected marijuana.

The suspects face charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
