MANILA, Philippines — A low pressure area (LPA) will bring rain over parts of Mindanao on Tuesday, while the southwest monsoon, locally known as “habagat,” will continue to affect parts of Luzon, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

Pagasa weather specialist Obet Badrina said in a weather report late Monday afternoon, the LPA was last spotted 530 kilometers east of Davao City.

Improving weather, meanwhile, is forecast over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.
