Iloilo bust yields over P1-M worth of shabu, 4 arrested
SAN JOSE DE BUENAVISTA, Antique – At least P1.6 million worth of illegal drugs were confiscated from four drug suspects in a buy-bust operation conducted by the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit (RPDEU) in La Paz town, Iloilo on Thursday.
The suspects, considered “high value” by the authorities, were identified as Mon Carl Alarde, 29; John Inayan, 29; Alberto Lopez, 29; and John Vincent Solinap, 28 were arrested in an operation in a subdivision.
Seized from the suspects were eight sachets of suspected shabu weighing 240 grams worth P1,632,000 and the P30,000 buy-bust money.
Two firearms and drug paraphernalia were also seized from the suspects.
According to Police Lt. Col. Antonio Benitez of RPDEU, the drug suspects were being monitored for two months.
The suspects are now detained at the La Paz Police Station and will be charged for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
