Authorities uncover illegal quarrying operations in Capiz

ROXAS CITY, Capiz — An illegal quarry operation was uncovered by authorities in Barangay Bangon-bangon, Sigma town, Capiz on Wednesday evening.
Ernesto Gicalde, environmental management specialist of the town, said unidentified persons at the quarry site managed to escape during the operation.

Gicalde said the quarry site has no special permit, thus violating the executive order released by Gov. Fredenil “Oto” Castro.
