MANILA, Philippines- Prosecution spokesperson, Marikina Representative Romero Quimbo, said Monday that the defense panel has “no choice” but to present Chief Justice Renato Corona as a witness, otherwise it would be “like giving up their case.”

“We believe, they have no choice [and] they know it,” Quimbo told reporters in an interview.

“[The defense is] only saying they are thinking about presenting him or not, but in truth they will present the Chief Justice because if they don’t present the [him], all of us lawyers know, that is like giving up their case,” Quimbo said.
