MANILA, Philippines — Committees in the House of Representatives started to fill up as the majority started electing members and panel officials during Wednesday’s session.

Senior Deputy Majority Floor Leader Rep. Alexander Marcos named the majority lawmakers who would be part of several standing and special committees.

Among those nominated were Bohol Third District Rep. Kristine Alexie Tutor as chair of the civil service and professional regulation committee and San Jose del Monte City Rep. Florida Robes as chair of the good government and public accountability.

The House approved Marcos’ motion.

Here are the other majority lawmakers grouped according committee designations:

Committee on Agrarian Reform (vice chairperson)

Committee on Agriculture and Food (vice chairperson)

Committee on Appropriations (vice chairperson)

Committee on Aquaculture and Fisheries Resources (vice chairperson)

Committee on Banks and Financial Intermediaries (vice chairpersons)

Committee on Basic Education and Culture (vice chairpersons)

Committee on Bicol Recovery and Economic Development (vice chairperson)

Committee on Climate Change (vice chairperson)

Committee on Constitutional Amendments (vice chairpersons)

Committee on Cooperative Development (vice chairpersons)

Committee on Creative Industry and Performing Arts (vice chairperson)

Committee on Dangerous Drugs (vice chairpersons)

Committee on Disaster Resilience (vice chairpersons)

Committee on Ecology (vice chairpersons)

As a rule, the majority floor leader and other officials of the majority bloc, along with deputy speakers are automatically included as ex-officio members of standing committees, which is why the leaders’ name were no longer mentioned.
