MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 5.6 earthquake hit Davao Oriental on Wednesday, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).

Phivolcs’ bulletin said that the epicenter was located 51 kilometers southeast of Manay, Davao Oriental.

The tectonic earthquake’s depth was 20 kilometers.

Phivolcs reported the following Intensities in these areas:
Intensity IV – Manay, Davao Oriental, Tarragona, Davao Oriental, Caraga, Davao Oriental
Intensity III – City of Mati, Davao Oriental, Baganga, Davao Oriental
Intensity II – City of Davao
Intensity 1- Nabunturan, Davao de Oro, Sarangani, City of Davao
There is no expected damage but aftershocks can be expected, Phivolcs also said.
