MANILA, Philippines–The Ospital ng Makati (OsMak) received the highest ranking when it came to COVID-19 response and management and infection control.
In a statement, Makati Mayor Abby Binay received a score of 97/100 in the Health Facility Development and Enhancement Unit (HFDEU) inspection of the Metro Manila Center for Health Development (MMCHD). The audit was mandated by DOH, as per Memorandum No. 2020-0202.
The HFDEU scored OsMak as follows:
- Governance – 19/20
- Ethics and Patient’s Rights – 19/20
- Quality Measurement and Improvement – 15/15
- Patient Safety – 20/20
- Facility Safety and Emergency Management – 9/10
- Resource Management – 15/15
Following this, OsMak was awarded its second ISO 9001:2015, which is a standard for a quality management system.
“Our Makatizens can rest assured that OsMak follows the standards and protocols set by DOH as a tertiary care hospital. Maayos, ligtas, at sigurado ang mga serbisyong ibinibigay natin sa ating mga pasyente,” Mayor Abby said.
In 2021, Makati City’s OsMak 2 underwent a series of upgrades after Binay signed a joint venture agreement with private sector partner Life Nurture Inc.
