The Department of Health (DOH) previously said that while an uptick on COVID-19 cases have been recorded in the past several weeks, the Philippines remained at low-risk classification, as the rise in infections did not translate to a rise in severe or critical cases.
It has, however, placed Metro Manila at moderate risk classification after it recorded a daily moving average of 1,100 cases per day and an average daily attack rate of 7.25 cases per 100,000 population.
The rest of the country’s regions, on the other hand, remain at low risk.
