MANILA, Philippines — Oil companies are expected to increase the price of gasoline next week while that of diesel may continue its downturn, according to industry sources.
Unioil, in its advisory, said the price of diesel should decrease by 60 to 70 centavos per liter while gasoline should increase by 60 to 80 centavos per liter.
An industry source said they expect the price of diesel to drop by 60 to 80 centavos per liter yet the cost of diesel might go up by 70 to 90 centavos per liter.
The projection was based on the average Mean of Platts Singapore trading from July 25 to July 29.
The cumulative increase in fuel prices stands at P19.30 per liter for gasoline, P34.80 per liter for diesel and P29.35 per liter for kerosene, based on the Department of Energy’s price monitoring.
