Bodies of 4 missing Abra residents retrieved from landslide
BAGUIO CITY — Rescue responders on Friday (July 29) retrieved the bodies of the four people who were reported missing in Abra province after the 7.0-magnitude earthquake that struck the province on Wednesday.
The fatalities were identified as Marcos Barreyro, 38; Louis Balais Dining, 21; Jack Balais Gamengan, 17; and Angelo Badi, 15.
They were found at the landslide area in Kayaddakad Road, Sitio Bangel, Barangay Poblacion in Luba town.
The four were on their way to work in Luba town from their hometown of Manabo and were riding a “kalalaw,” an improvised tricycle with a sidecar made to transport farm animals, when the tragedy befell them.
Relatives said the four failed to go to their work and reported them missing. INQ
