3 drug suspects yield shabu worth P17.2M in Cavite bust

LUCENA CITY—Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) operatives and local police seized more than P17.2 million worth of shabu (crystal meth) from a Chinese national and two others in a buy-bust operation on July 25 in Dasmariñas City, Cavite, a report said Wednesday.

A report posted by PDEA Calabarzon on its Facebook page said police and PDEA agents collared around 6 p.m. Zhiming Liu, alias “Ken Liu”, 29; Franz Marlon Marteja, 32, from Candelaria, Quezon; and Jim Paulo Arceo, 33, from Tarlac City, inside a subdivision in Barangay Sampaloc IV.

Authorities seized 2,500 grams of shabu with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board value of P17,250,000.

The police are tracking down the suspects’ source of illegal drugs.

All three arrested suspects will face charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
