PDEA seizes shabu worth P544-M in Cavite busts
MANILA, Philippines — A total of 80 kilos of suspected crystal meth or shabu worth P544 million was seized from five arrested suspects in two simultaneous buy-bust operations in Cavite on Thursday, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) reported.
Suspects Dominador Robasto Omega Jr. and Siegfred Omega Garcia were arrested in an operation in Dasmariñas, Cavite at around 8:00 a.m.
Seized from the two were 60 kilos of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P408 million. Also seized were assorted drug paraphernalia.
In another buy-bust, suspects Elaine Maningas, Ricardo Santillan, and Laurel Dela Rosa were arrested in General Trias, Cavite, also at around 8:00 a.m.
Seized from the suspects were 20 kilos of suspected shabu worth P136 million.
The arrested suspects will be facing complaints for violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
