30-year-old man missing after two boats sink in Taguig
MANILA, Philippines — A 30-year-old man was reported missing after two boats sank due to a river crash after the fluvial parade in Taguig on Tuesday afternoon.
In a statement, the Taguig City government said the accident occurred at around 5:46 p.m. after the parade in celebration of the Feast of Santa Ana and the Taguig River Festival.
The search and rescue operations for the missing man are still ongoing as of this writing.
All of the passengers of the boats were safe and were rushed to a hospital.
The city government, however, pointed out that the two boats were not officially included in the river festival.
