First Lady Liza to wear traditional Filipiniana on Bongbong Marcos’ first Sona
MANILA, Philippines — First Lady Liza Marcos will wear a traditional terno Filipiniana on President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.’s first State of the Nation Address (Sona) on Monday.
In a Facebook post on Monday, President Marcos said the Filipiniana terno was designed by fashion designer Lesley Mobo.
The design of the gown was made with piña calado, victorian lace, and gold, while the general fabric of it is made of heavy stretch georgette.
“Isang tradisyunal na terno na dinisenyo ng tanyag na designer na si Lesley Mobo ang isusuot ng aking maybahay sa aking kauna-unahang State of the Nation Address,” President Marcos said.
(My wife will wear a traditional Filipiniana terno designed by known designer Lesley Mobo during my first Sona.)
“Inihabi ang mga disenyo ng piña calado, victorian lace, at gold na sinuksok sa kasuotan samantalang gawa sa heavy stretch georgette ang tela nito,” he added.

In the photo posted by President Marcos, the outline of the gown could be seen with a gold top and a black skirt.
