MANILA, Philippines — Regular maintenance repair of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport’s runway has resulted in the delay in or diversion of a number of international flights on Thursday.
In a statement from the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) reported that NAIA’s international runway 06-24 was closed due to regular repair works being done to seal potholes.
“The extended maintenance hours will affect scheduled flights using wide body aircraft. International flight operations shall continue on a limited scale,” MIAA said.
As a result, there may be delays or diversions of flights on Thursday, it further said.
