QC suspends classes in all levels for Bongbong Marcos’ first Sona

MANILA, Philippines — The Quezon City Government announced that all classes for all private and public schools in the city will be suspended on Monday in time for President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.’s first state of the nation address (Sona).

Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte signed the executive order which was released on Saturday.

“[T]he residents and students of Quezon City may be affected by road closures which will undeniably affect the flow of traffic of both motorists and the riding public,” the executive order read.

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority has announced traffic rerouting for motorists using Commonwealth Avenue.

Several demonstrations will be staged by pro-Marcos supporters and progressive groups, which are expected to affect the traffic situation on Commonwealth Avenue.
