LEGAZPI CITY — Three suspected drug traders were arrested in separate buy-bust operations in Naga City in Camarines Sur province early Friday.
In a report, Master Sgt. Tobias Bongon, Naga City police spokesperson, said Edmar Bergado, 22, was arrested in an operation in Barangay (village) Tabuco at around 12:32 a.m.
Anti-narcotics operatives recovered a sachet of “shabu” (crystal meth) worth P2,000 and another four sachets of shabu during the body search.
Bongon said a total of 0.750 grams of shabu were confiscated with a street value of P5,000.
Bergado will face charges for violating Republic Act (RA) 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
In Barangay Dinaga, Michael Celso, 50, and Rodel Tuazon, 38, both residents of Ragay town, were also arrested in a separate operation at around 3 a.m.
Authorities recovered 1.4 grams of shabu worth P9,928 and a .38-caliber revolver with two live bullets inside the toolbox of the motorcycle used by the suspects.
Bongon said Celso and Tuazon will be charged with violating RA 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act and RA 9165. INQ
