MANILA, Philippines – Authorities arrested five suspects and seized over P408,000 worth of illegal drugs in a drug bust in Bulacan, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said Thursday.
In a statement, PNP officer-in-charge Lt. Gen. Vicente Danao said suspects Junail Mangcol, 27; Justito Borillo, 28; Ryan Versoza, 23; Naim Tominaman,18; and Mumardpa Mamangcao, 31, were apprehended in an operation at Barangay (village) San Manuel City, San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan on Wednesday morning.
Seized from the suspects were nine plastic sachets containing the suspected shabu weighing around 60 grams, and the buy-bust money.
The PNP said the suspects were brought to Bulacan Provincial Intelligence Unit-Provincial Police Office for proper disposition.
All arrested suspects are set to face complaints for violating Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, police said.
“I commend our police operatives for their unrelenting efforts and hard work exerted to produce another outstanding accomplishment in our fight against illegal drugs,” Danao said.
