Bulacan cops seize P2M illegal drugs in weeklong operations

Residents in Bulacan city urged to report violators of health protocols

CAMP GEN. ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan—Police seized more than P2 million worth of illegal drugs and arrested 109 suspects during the recent anti-criminality operations in the province.

Colonel Charlie Cabradilla, Bulacan police director, said cops seized from July 11 to July 16 some 300 sachets of “shabu” (crystal meth) and 26 of marijuana worth P2,081,533 from the suspects.

Cabradilla said the operations covered San Jose del Monte and Malolos cities and Pulilan, Marilao, San Rafael, and Bocaue towns.

In one of the operations, a drug suspect was killed during a shootout with police in Marilao. The fatality was identified as Rick Tiamson, who reportedly resisted arrest and fired shots at the authorities. INQ
