BALANGA CITY, Bataan — The provincial government of Bataan on Wednesday (July 20) launched its “Bakunahan Bayanihan sa Barangay” that involves house-to-house COVID-19 vaccination campaign and mobilizing barangay captains throughout the province.

Bataan Gov. Jose Enrique Garcia III met with some 237 barangay captains to kickstart the massive vaccination drive due to the low COVID-19 vaccination and booster rates in the province.

So far 47,189 or 6.78 percent of the 695,565 eligible residents in the province remained unvaccinated against the viral disease.

The provincial government will grant incentives to barangay captains with the greatest number of vaccinated residents. Bataan has around 20 vaccination sites.
