MANILA, Philippines – Police arrested two most wanted persons for frustrated murder in separate operations in Nueva Ecija, the police provincial office reported Wednesday.
In a statement, Police Director Col. Jess Mendez identified the suspects as Lito Monden Corso Jr., 25, of Brgy. Balbalungao, Lupao; and Melchor Budtan Agumba, 33, of Brgy. Marcos Village, Palayan City.
“Through proper coordination with our Barangay Intelligence Network, wanted persons to have nowhere to go but inside detention,” Mendez said in the same statement.
The suspects are tagged as the most wanted persons in Nueva Ecija, with Corso as the second most wanted in Lupao town, according to the police provincial office.
Both were arrested based on a warrant for frustrated murder, with a recommended bail of P200,000 for each of them, the police said.
They are currently under the custody of Lupao Police Station and Palayan City Police Station. – Nicole Faye Agcaoili, INQUIRER.net intern
