LUCENA CITY – Four drug suspects were arrested on July 16 and 17 and yielded more than P197,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) in buy-bust operations in Quezon and Cavite provinces.
Police Colonel Joel Villanueva, Quezon police chief, that members of the drug enforcement unit in Sariaya town collared Edgardo Embino and Napoleon Leynes after they allegedly sold P500 worth of meth to an undercover cop in a transaction in Barangay (village) Concepcion Palasan around 5 p.m. Sunday.
Authorities seized six plastic sachets of shabu with an estimated street value of P100,800.
Meanwhile, in Lucena City, Lieutenant Colonel Reynaldo Reyes, city police chief, said Rafael Miras Jr. was arrested in a sting operation in the village of Ibabang Dupay around 1:39 a.m. Sunday.
The suspect yielded four sachets of shabu with a street value of P27,540.
The report tagged Miras as an identified drug pusher in the city who had previous drug and homicide cases but did not state why and when he was freed.
Additionally, in Dasmariñas City, Cavite, anti-illegal drugs operatives busted John Roman Esteban in Barangay San Simon at about 5 a.m. Sunday.
Esteban was found in possession of two sachets of meth weighing 10 grams with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board value of P69,000.
The suspects were detained and are facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
