Bongbong Marcos to discuss COVID-19 alert level system with Vergeire

MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. will discuss the country’s COVID-19 alert level system with Department of Health (DOH) officer-in-charge (OIC) Maria Rosario Vergeire, Malacañang said Saturday.

“Pursuant to the alert levels on COVID 19, the President will be conferring with DOH OIC [Maria] Rosario Vergeire on Monday (July 18) for any action thereon,” Press Secretary Trixie Cruz-Angeles said in a statement.

This, as the current COVID-19 alert levels in the several regions in the country will remain as “status quo,” pending review by the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) on Emerging Infectious Diseases.
