MANILA, Philippines – Seven drug suspects were arrested inside an alleged drug den during an anti-drug operation in Taguig City, said the Southern Police District (SPD).
SPD director Brigadier General Jamili Macaraeg, said in a statement on Friday, that suspects Ignacio Gregorio Bulanandi, Catherine May Abenis Duarte, Marciano Gregorio Losito, Alex Lariosa Sanches, Edwin Danao Gregorio, Romeo Cruz Herrera, and Pedro Vergara Salazar were collared in an operation conducted along Levi Mariano Avenue in Taguig on Wednesday night.
The suspects allegedly yielded P142,800 worth of crystal meth or “shabu” after police officers swooped into their hideout.
Bulanandi and Duarte were both tagged as high-value drug suspects, while the other five were considered street-level individual targets, according to Macaraeg.
Recovered from the arrested individuals were eight heat-sealed plastic sachets of suspected crystal meth, weighing around 21 grams, and P500 used as buy-bust money.
The suspects will face charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. Nicole Faye Agcaoili, INQUIRER.net intern
