Taguig’s top 2 most wanted, NCRPO’s top 5 high value target arrested

The second most wanted individual of Taguig City and the National Capital Region’s fifth high value drug personality were arrested in separate operations on Friday, local police said.

MANILA, Philippines — The second most wanted individual of Taguig City and the National Capital Region’s fifth high value drug personality were arrested in separate operations on Friday, local police said.

Reports shared by the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) showed that their top five high value target, identified as Jonathan Rosario, 24, was arrested at around 9:30 a.m. during a buy-bust operation at E. Santos Street, of Pasig City’s Barangay Pinagbuhatan.

Eastern Police District (EPD) director Brig. Gen. Orlando Yebra said that Rosario, a vendor by profession, was with another vendor identified as Danilo Gutierrez, 41 during the time of the operation.

Anti-drug operatives were able to seize 12.4 kilograms of shabu from the two, which was estimated to be worth P84,320.00.

Both suspects are currently under the custody of EPD, and are expected to face charges for violating Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

In Taguig, the top two most wanted individual of the city who is facing cases for rape and violation of Section 5 (Child Prostitution and Sexual Abuse) of Republic Act No. 7610 or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act was arrested during a manhunt operation in Purok 3 of Tanyag.

Southern Police District (SPD) director Brig. Gen. Jimili Macaraeg identified the suspect as Ricky Nañola, 46 years old.

The arrest orders against Nañola, SPD said, were issued by Branch 163 of the Regional Trial Court in Taguig City.

NCRPO director Maj. Gen. Felipe Natividad said that the successive arrest of wanted personalities has a huge contribution to peacekeeping operations in Metro Manila.

“I encourage our men on the ground to carry on with our calling to curb the proliferation of illegal drugs in the region. Large or small amounts of confiscated illegal drugs significantly contributes in the reduction of illegal drug trade/distribution in our region,” Natividad said.
