‘Spaghetti wires’ to be removed from major Bacolod streets

BACOLOD CITY—“Spaghetti wires” in this city’s major thoroughfares are being removed in preparation for the MassKara Festival in October.

“Hopefully, when we celebrate MassKara, it will be a smiling street, not a frowning street because of the spaghetti wires,” Lyzander Dilag, spokesperson of Bacolod Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez, said Thursday, July 14.

First to be removed will be the spaghetti wires from Lacson Street and around the Bacolod Public Plaza.

The city government described the spaghetti wires as an eye sore.
