‘High-value’ drug suspect nabbed in Tarlac
MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga – Operatives from various police units arrested a “high-value target” during a campaign against illegal drugs in a manhunt operation at Santa Monica village in Concepcion, Tarlac on Wednesday, July 13.
The Central Luzon police identified the suspect as Rollie Tayag, 44, a resident of the said village.
Police operatives, including the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, conducted the manhunt operation against Tayag who is the subject of an alias warrant of arrest issued by Judge Ronald Leo Haban of Capas, Tarlac Regional Trial Court Branch 66 for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The alias warrant of arrest is issued by the court if the original warrant of arrest fails to be served by peace officers.
Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Matthew Baccay said Tayag’s arrest was due to the police’s extensive manhunt and surveillance operations.
