Pampanga has 1 remaining COVID-free town
MABALACAT CITY—Localities with no active COVID-19 cases in Pampanga went down to just one this week from nine two weeks ago.
In its update on Wednesday, the epidemiology and surveillance unit of the province said only Masantol town remained free of COVID-19.
The active COVID-19 cases in Pampanga also jumped to 163 from 40 within two weeks.
The City of San Fernando has the most active cases at 77, followed by Lubao town with 13 and Mabalacat with 12.
But on Thursday, San Fernando had 69 active cases after registering 21 recoveries and 16 new cases.
Lubao had 25 cases on Friday after recording 12 new patients in the last two days. These included six residents of Concepcion, and one each in San Isidro, San Juan, San Pedro Palcarangan, San Roque Dau, and Santa Cruz.

Article continues after this advertisementSince 2020, Pampanga had 57,048 cases, of which 54,292 had recovered, while 2,593 had died.
Angeles has 22 active cases after registering four new patients, and one recovery on Thursday.
The city had 14,773 cases since 2020, with 14,209 recoveries, and 542 deaths. INQ
