Zamboanga online seller arrested for illegal drugs; P340K shabu seized

MANILA, Philippines – About P340,000 worth of crystal meth or “shabu” was seized from a 30-year-old online seller in a recent anti-illegal drugs operation in Zamboanga City.

The Philippine National Police (PNP) in a statement on Thursday identified the drug suspect as Anersa Aiyadi Hassan, 30.

Police said Hassan was arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted in Brgy. Baliwasan in Zamboanga City on Wednesday.

Seized from the suspect was P340,000 worth of shabu.

“The suspect is now under the custody of Zamboanga police while preparation for appropriate charges against her is ongoing,” PNP officer-in-charge Lt. Gen. Vicente Danao Jr. said.

The suspect will be facing criminal charges for the violation of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, the PNP said. – Nicole Faye Agcaoili, INQUIRER.net intern
