MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Transportation (DOTr) on Wednesday announced that an officer-in-charge (OIC) for the Land Transportation Office (LTO) had been named.
New DOTr Secretary Jaime Bautista has appointed lawyer Romeo Vera Cruz as LTO’s OIC through Special Order No. 2022-130 dated July 1, the agency said.
It added that the particular order is pursuant to the Office of the President’s Memorandum Circular No. 1 through Executive Secretary Victor Rodriguez.
“As OIC of the LTO, Atty. Vera Cruz will perform and discharge the functions and responsibilities of the position until 31 July 2022, or until a replacement has been appointed or designated,” states Special Order No. 2022-130.
As the new OIC, Vera Cruz is directed to act on the administrative and daily functions of the LTO, the DOTr said.
