MANILA, Philippines — A low pressure area embedded in the intertropical convergence zone (ICTZ) will bring overcast skies with rains in parts of the Philippines on Wednesday.

The LPA, located 365 kilometers east of Catarman, Northern Samar, will affect several parts of Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao, according to the Tuesday report of the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

The weather systems will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms to Aurora, Quezon, Palawan, Bicol Region, the entire Visayas, Northern Mindanao, and the Caraga Region.

The rest of the country, including Metro Manila, will have fair weather with partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms due to the ITCZ.

the LPA has a low chance of becoming a tropical cyclone, according to Pagasa weather specialist Ana Clauren-Jorda.

No gale warnings were raised in any seaboards nationwide.
