It should be noted, however, that the low number may be attributed to the low number of tests conducted as only 13,323 individuals have been tested for SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, on Sunday, July 3.

In terms of the number of infections per region in the past two weeks, Metro Manila continues to lead with 5,918 cases, followed by Calabarzon with 2,353 cases and the Western Visayas with 1,043.

Quezon City, meanwhile, topped the list of cities with the most reported cases at 1,267, trailed by Manila with 858 and Makati with 791.

The DOH’s COVID-19 tracker also showed that 19,055 individuals have been tested for SARS-CoV-2 on Monday, July 4.
