MANILA, Philippines — Two Chinese nationals have been arrested after they yielded more than P100 million worth of crystal meth or “shabu” in a buy-bust operation in Malate, Manila.

The Manila Police District said Bin Hu, 42, and Jiankang Liang, 42, were nabbed at the Cultural Center of the Philippines Bay Terminal Parking Lot in Barangay 720 on Monday evening.

Anti-narcotics operatives seized from the men around 15 kilos of suspected shabu with an estimated value of P102 million, two pieces of P1,000 bills, one blue android cellular phone, and one gray metallic Toyota Fortuner.

Hu and Liang have been placed under the custody of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office-National Capital Region, police said.

Authorities are preparing to file complaints against the arrested suspects for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
