MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr on Tuesday said his administration would ramp up the administration of an anti-coronavirus booster shot to children since the government plans 100 percent face-to-face classes this year.
Marcos Jr. made such pronouncement in a press briefing as he announced that Vice President Sara Duterte intends to impose full in-person classes by November.

“So we will be encouraging that,” Marcos said of booster shots, “especially for younger people, because we have to be concerned with their return to school.”
“That is the general policy, we will reinstate the vaccine drive so we can at least feel safer when the children go back to school,” he added.
The Department of Health also announced on Tuesday that minors aged 12 to 17 may now get their booster shot against COVID-19.
