LEGAZPI CITY—A jewelry store in Naga City lost on Saturday P1.4 million of jewelry items to thieves, the police said Monday, July 4.

Major Maria Luisa Calubaquib, Bicol police spokesperson, said one of the thieves pretended to be a customer at Gold Gram Jewelry Store inside Yashano Mall in Barangay Triangulo, and diverted the attention of a sales clerk on July 2.

While the clerk was busy, a thief’s companions went inside and took several pieces of jewelry.

Eighty gold rings were stolen from the display case.

Police were reviewing the security camera footage to identify the suspects.
