Canceled flights

MANILA, Philippines — Two flights have been canceled by Cebu Pacific on Saturday due to inclement weather, the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) said on Saturday.

In an advisory, MIAA said that the following Cebu Pacific flights were canceled:

5J 116/117 Manila-Hongkong-Manila

5J 272/273 Manila-Hongkong-Manila

Tropical Storm Domeng and Severe Tropical Storm Chaba, which is outside the Philippine area of responsibility, are enhancing the southwest monsoon or “habagat”, according to the state weather bureau.

The “habagat”is expected to trigger rains in parts of Luzon while localized thunderstorms will affect Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
