LEGAZPI CITY — Anti-narcotics operatives arrested three drug suspects and seized an estimated P324,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) in separate buy-bust operations in Albay and Camarines Sur in the Bicol region on Thursday.
In Camarines Sur, Zaldy Ruiz, 47, was arrested in Barangay Pangpang in Canaman town at around 5:20 p.m.
Maj. Maria Luisa Calubaquib, spokesperson for the Bicol police, said police confiscated two sachets of suspected shabu and marked money from the suspect.
In Bula town, Moises Aaron Tolentino, 31, was arrested in Barangay Sagrada at around 4 p.m.
Recovered from the operation were a sachet of shabu and the buy-bust money.
Calubaquib said Tolentino is a newly identified drug personality.
In Albay, a suspect identified as a certain “Jose” was also arrested in a buy-bust operation at Barangay Bogtong in Legazpi City at around 12:40 p.m.
Lt. Col. Dexter Versola, chief of Legazpi City police, said the authorities recovered a sachet of shabu worth P3,500 and a knot-tied plastic bag with 100 grams worth P320,000.
The suspects will be facing a formal complaint for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002.
