MANILA, Philippines – Police have arrested three drug suspects who yielded P1.2 million worth of marijuana leaves during a recent buy-bust operation in Penaranda, Nueva Ecija, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said.

In a statement on Wednesday, the PNP identified the suspects as Eddie Pabia, 21; John Pabia, 21; and Aila Cab, 22, who were arrested in a drug sting conducted on June 28.

Seized from the suspects were marijuana leaves valued at P1,200,000.

The anti-illegal drug operation was conducted by Penaranda Municipal Station, Police Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, and Nueva Ecija Provincial Office.

“Another anti-illegal drug operation was carried out successfully with the arrest of three suspects who shall face criminal charges for violation of Republic Act 9165,” PNP officer-in-charge Lt. Gen. Vicente Danao Jr. said.
