MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Health (DOH) said about P365 million in previous funds released for the benefits of health workers have yet to be accounted for by some private and public health facilities.
The DOH said in a statement on Tuesday that funds released to health facilities must first be liquidated and accounted for to facilitate the disbursement of new funds.
Based on the latest DOH data, the following have yet to be liquidated by private health facilities: P68 million in special risk allowance (SRA); P21 million in meals, accommodation, and transportation funds; as well as P145 million in One COVID-19 Allowance.
The health department is also awaiting the liquidation reports from 10 local government hospitals for about P101 million and from three government-run hospitals for about P30 million in SRA funds.
