NAGA CITY, Philippines – Police authorities seized over P3.4-million worth of suspected crystal meth, locally known as shabu, during an anti-drug operation recently in Naga City, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said.

PNP officer-in-charge Lt. Gen. Vicente Danao Jr. said the illegal drugs were seized on Friday from a suspected drug personality identified as Cherylle Eleria in Brgy. Bagumbayan Norte in Camarines Sur province.

Danao said the confiscated drugs weighed about 506 grams with an estimated value of P3,440,800.00.

The suspect faces criminal charges for the violation of Republic Act 9165, or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

The suspect and the illegal drugs are now under the custody of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), police said.

“The public can expect more significant results in the government’s campaign against illegal drugs, lawlessness, and criminality as the PNP and PDEA remain resolute in protecting our citizens against drug users, most wanted criminals, and other enemies of peace,” Danao said.
