MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) hailed three universities for enhancing the research and development (R&D) programs of the country and introducing relevant scientific knowledge and commercially viable technologies to support industry sectors.

The Central Luzon State University (CLSU) was cited for its collaboration with the DOST that resulted in 6,828 clients for CLSU and earned P24.3 million for the institution’s start-up incubators.

The University of the Philippines’ Philippine Genome Center was also recognized for its contributions to gene discovery and genomics research.

It also cited De La Salle University (DLSU), noting that their collaboration made DLSU the only private university to make it to the Times Higher Education World University Rankings.
